According to a survey, international company bosses are once again somewhat more confident about the future this year. According to a survey by management consultants PwC, 38% expect stronger global economic growth - a year ago, the figure was just 18%.

However, the mood remains gloomy in the study presented on Monday at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos GR: 45% of CEOs (Chief Executive Officers) still believe that the economy will grow less strongly this year than before (2023: 73%). The USA and China remain the top markets, while India has moved up to fifth place behind the UK.

According to the survey, CEOs are currently particularly concerned about increasing geopolitical tensions and the rise in the number of cyber attacks. At the same time, they are feeling a great deal of pressure to change.

Many top managers do not believe that their companies will still be economically viable in ten years' time if they continue on their current course. According to the survey, the main drivers of change were legal requirements and disruptions to supply chains, but also new customer preferences and climate change.

According to PwC, more than 4,700 CEOs from 105 countries took part in the Global CEO Survey.
