The Bucheggberg-Wasseramt District Court in Solothurn began hearing a homicide from January 2021 in Gerlafingen SO on Tuesday morning. At the time, a 41-year-old woman stabbed her 7- and 8-year-old daughters to death.
According to the indictment, the woman originally thought about killing herself on the morning of January 16, 2021. However, she did not want to leave the two girls with their father, from whom the family lived separately. She got a kitchen knife and went into the children's rooms one after the other and stabbed each of them in the heart.
According to the indictment, she then informed the 12-year-old half-sister of the deceased that the two younger children were no longer alive. Finally, the woman called the police.
The public prosecutor accuses the Swiss woman of multiple murders and possibly multiple intentional homicides. The parties' motions will be presented in the course of the trial.
