Thousands of people gathered in Bern on Saturday for a national demonstration for purchasing power. They called for higher wages and pensions, as the cost of living is becoming increasingly expensive. The protesters demanded swift action from the government to reduce premiums and protect tenants from abuse and excessive returns from the real estate industry. The demonstration was organised by the SGB trade unions, Travail.Suisse associations, SP, Greens and the Tenants' and Tenants' Association. The demonstration marks the start of wage negotiations in the industry and upcoming referendums on premiums and pensions. The protesters are calling for higher wages and pensions to keep up with the rising cost of living, as well as for the government to take action to reduce premiums and protect tenants from abuse and excessive returns from the real estate industry.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
