Drug courier arrested at Zurich airport

The Zurich cantonal police arrested a Brazilian drug courier at Zurich Airport on Saturday morning. They seized around 1000 grams of cocaine.
The 32-year-old Brazilian traveled by plane from Sao Paolo to Zurich, as reported by the Zurich cantonal police on Sunday. He attracted the attention of Zurich cantonal police investigators in the transit area of the airport. They subjected the man to a more detailed check.
It turned out that the man had swallowed more than 100 finger cubes filled with cocaine and was carrying them in his body. According to the police, the total weight of the narcotics amounted to around 1000 grams.
The cantonal police seized the drugs and handed them over to the Zurich Forensic Institute for precise identification. After being questioned by the police, the arrested man was handed over to the Zurich-Sihl public prosecutor's office.
