According to financial analysts, the economic outlook for Switzerland is no longer quite so gloomy in November. Nevertheless, the index remains in negative territory and continues to point to a gloomier outlook.
The UBS CFA indicator, now published under the UBS banner following the merger of the two big banks, rose by 8.2 points in November. However, at minus 29.6 after minus 37.8 points, it is still in the range of -25 to -40 points, where it has remained since spring 2023, according to a statement from the bank on Wednesday.
The outlook for the eurozone also remains negative, even if the economic pessimism here is easing somewhat. According to the experts, the outlook for the USA has also improved slightly.
While the majority of analysts continue to expect inflation to fall in Switzerland, the expectation of falling inflation rates is more pronounced in the eurozone and the USA than in Switzerland. A change in key interest rates is largely not expected for Switzerland in the next six months.
