Economiesuisse: “Important foundation laid for negotiations”

The business umbrella organization Economiesuisse sees the adoption of the negotiating mandate by the Federal Council on Friday as an important cornerstone for the negotiations with the EU. The Bilaterals III could stabilize and further develop bilateral relations, Economiesuisse announced on Friday.
This creates legal certainty and strengthens Switzerland as a business location. The outstanding points must now be clarified in the negotiations.
"The Federal Council is called upon to present a convincing package that will make it possible to stabilize and further develop relations with Switzerland's most important trading partner," Jan Atteslander, Head of Foreign Trade at Economiesuisse, is quoted as saying in the press release.
