The tech industry umbrella organization Swissmem and the employers' association regret the Yes to the 13th AHV pension and the No to the higher retirement age. Swissmem warns of expensive consequences and the employers are calling for a Yes to the reform of the occupational pension scheme in the second half of the year.

Both associations complained on Sunday about the financial consequences of a 13th AHV pension. It would place an additional burden on the working population without significantly supporting pensioners in need. Additional financing would be necessary. Swissmem warned that the AHV was in a precarious situation and would now have to struggle with billions more every year.

Swissmem and the Swiss Employers' Association regret the failure of the "innovative pension initiative". The task now in the second half of the year is to prevent further bad cheques in the billions. Swissmem mentions the SP premium initiative and the revision of the occupational pension scheme.

Both associations are calling for occupational pensions to be secured with a yes vote. The employers' association wrote that occupational pensions must be adapted to the current conditions on the labor market.
