Flurina Valsecchi, the 43-year-old Chief Editor of the "Bote der Urschweiz" newspaper, is leaving the company at the end of August due to differing views on content. Valsecchi has decided to leave the newspaper with a heavy heart and is now looking to reorient her career, as well as spend more time with her family and on her own projects. Valsecchi has been the Chief Editor of the Schwyzer Tageszeitung since June 2021, and previously worked for the "Luzerner Zeitung" as Deputy Chief Editor and Head of the Online Team of luzernerzeitung.ch. The "Bote" - as it is commonly known - has a regional reach of over 60 percent (42,000 readers) with its print edition in the Schwyz region. Online, the "Bote" is used daily by around 20,000 readers.
