Editor-in-chief and managing director Philippe Pfiffner is leaving Winterthur's top media. As the media company announced on Wednesday, Pfiffner wants to change career direction after almost twenty years.
Pfiffner has worked for Top Media since 2005. He has been a member of the Executive Board since 2019 and Managing Director since 2021. In summer 2023, the 43-year-old also took over the position of Editor-in-Chief. He now wants to take his time to decide on the next stage in his career, he was quoted as saying in the press release.
In the press release, the Board of Directors particularly emphasized the retention of the TV license and the "strong regional public service", which are thanks to Pfiffner and his team. The successor to Pfiffner is reportedly still open.
The top media include Radio Top and Tele Top. The broadcasting area includes the cantons of Zurich, Schaffhausen, Thurgau and St. Gallen. The radio also covers the Appenzell cantons.
