Farmhouse in Utzigen BE Burns Down Completely

A fire broke out in a farmhouse in Utzigen BE in the early hours of Saturday morning. Fortunately, no one was injured and no animals were harmed. The fire was reported to the Bern Cantonal Police shortly before 4.40am. When the emergency services arrived, the farmhouse was already in full flames. Around 50 firefighters from Vechigen BE, Stettlen BE, Ostermundigen BE and the Bern Professional Fire Brigade managed to bring the fire under control. Three people were able to escape the burning building in time and alternative accommodation was organised for them. The police have started an investigation into the cause of the fire.
