The FDP is in danger of losing one of its two seats in the Glarus government. FDP candidate Roger Schneider is in last place after two of the three municipalities counted in the election to replace Glarus mayor Benjamin Mühlemann (FDP).
Schneider received 1469 votes in Glarus and Glarus South. Daniela Bösch-Widmer won the most votes with 2537. SVP candidate Thomas Tschudi initially achieved 2305 votes.
If this trend continues, a second ballot will be necessary.
