The weekend brought the first snow to the Swiss mountains, with snowfall starting at 1300 meters above sea level. However, only a light dusting remained above 2000 meters. Temperatures are expected to rise again from Monday, with temperatures of 8 degrees Celsius expected at 2000 meters. In the Föhn valleys on the northern side of the Alps, temperatures could reach 22-23 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday, with the possibility of another summer day. In contrast, the weather on the south side of the Alps will be significantly worse from Thursday, with widespread intense rainfall.
