A trial against a former cashier of the Fondation Beyeler in Riehen BS began on Wednesday at the Basel Criminal Court. The 54-year-old woman, who was employed by ISS Facility Services and was responsible for ticket sales from 2008 to 2019, is accused of stealing at least 986,126 francs from the museum. According to the indictment, she began to live beyond her financial means.
