Franzen: “Closely coordinate foreign policy with domestic policy”

What Switzerland does in its foreign policy negotiations with Brussels must be very closely coordinated with its domestic policy. According to chief negotiator Patric Franzen, this is the biggest challenge for the upcoming negotiations with Brussels.
"It is very important that we negotiate persistently, with passion and perseverance," Franzen told the media in Bern on Friday in response to a journalist's question about the biggest challenge in the negotiations. For him, closely coordinating foreign policy with domestic policy is "the key to success."
