Gale-force gusts of 151 km/h were measured on the Bantiger (942 meters above sea level) in the canton of Bern on Friday night. In second place until 11.50 pm was the Titlis (3040 meters above sea level; OW), where Meteonews Switzerland measured wind speeds of 145 km/h.
SRF Meteo reported wind speeds of 137 km/h on the Säntis, 135 km/h on the Nieschberg above Herisau AR and the Napf BE and 134 km/h on the Hörnli ZH by 10.30 pm. "Storm Frederico, that was violent," wrote the weather service on X, formerly Twitter. SRF Meteo even measured wind speeds of 153 km/h on the Bern-Bantiger television tower.
