Geneva SP National Councillor Christian Dandrès is the new VPOD President

Geneva SP National Councillor Christian Dandrès is to become the new President of the VPOD public service union. He was unanimously elected at a congress in Locarno on Saturday.
Dandrès replaces Katharina Prelicz-Huber, a Green member of the Zurich National Council, who is stepping down for reasons of age, as announced by VPOD.
Dandrès has been a member of the Association of Public Service Employees (VPOD) for over 20 years and acts as the union's shop steward in French-speaking Switzerland. He is also involved in the French-speaking Swiss tenants' association Asloca.
