The concert promoter Good News has expanded its management team. The two promoters Christian Gremelmayr and Santosh Aerthott are now part of the senior management of Good News, its owner, Deutsche Entertainment Aktiengesellschaft (DEAG), announced on Tuesday.

Gremelmayr, former managing director and co-owner of the Zurich rock club Abart, and Aerthott, who previously co-owned and managed the punk rock agency Redda Music, reportedly founded the concert agency Mainland Music in 2012. Until their move to Good News, they worked there as Managing Directors.

At Good News, the two are now jointly responsible for expansion and further corporate strategy together with Managing Director Stefan Matthey. He is very much looking forward to working together, Matthey is quoted in the press release.

According to the information provided, Patrizia Demont, who also comes from Mainland Music, and artist booker Steven Mandel, formerly booker at the Z7 concert venue in Pratteln (BL), have also recently joined the management team. The new team is intended to "consolidate Good News' position as a leading rock/metal promoter".

Among other things, the aim is to organize more concerts with international musicians in Switzerland and to offer Swiss newcomers a bigger stage. According to the parent company DEAG, Good News sells 600,000 to 700,000 tickets a year.
