Holcim takes over Cemex’s Guatemala business

Holcim is expanding in Latin America. The Swiss building materials group is taking over the Mexican cement manufacturer Cemex's business in Guatemala. According to Cemex, the transaction price amounted to around 200 million US dollars.
According to Cemex, the assets sold mainly consist of a grinding plant, three ready-mix plants and five distribution centers. The grinding plant has an installed capacity of around 0.6 million tons per year.
