In the canton of Lucerne, three blocks have formed for the National Council elections: SP, Green and Green-Liberal (GLP), Centre and FDP, and SVP and Mass Voll have formed electoral alliances. The canton of Lucerne has nine National Council seats, with the Centre holding three and the SVP two, and FDP, SP, Green and GLP each having one seat. A total of 387 people are running on 48 lists, the most ever or 43 times more than the available seats. The proportion of women is 35%. Mitte and FDP are focusing on Mass, accounting for about half of the candidacies. SVP, SP, Green and GLP are also trying to reach out to as many parts of the population as possible to gain additional votes. Three of the four Lucerne National Councillors (Yvette Estermann/SVP, Ida Glanzmann/Mitte, Prisca Birrer/SP) are stepping down. Priska Wismer and Leo Müller (both Mitte), Franz Grüter (SVP), Peter Schilliger (FDP), Michael Töngi (Green) and Roland Fischer (GLP) are running again. The GLP had regained its National Council seat in the green wave in 2015. In the cantonal elections in the spring, it was able to make slight gains. If this trend continues, Fischer should secure the seat. The GLP has formed an electoral alliance with SP and Green. As four years ago, Mitte and FDP have formed an electoral alliance in the canton of Lucerne. In 2019, Mitte benefited from this, contrary to the oracles and, unlike the Free Democrats, did not lose a seat. In the cantonal elections, Mitte was able to maintain its voter shares, unlike the FDP. Now both are trying to secure their position with no fewer than eleven lists each. The SVP, which has strengthened but is left alone by the other parties, is seeking help from Mass Voll. SVP and Mass Voll have formed an electoral alliance, stressing that it is purely mathematical and not content-related. There is also a "package" between the historical opponents Mitte and FDP for the Council of States elections: the incumbent Andrea Gmür (Mitte) and Damian Müller (FDP) are running again and together. Their re-election is considered certain, although all other parliamentary parties are also involved.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
