Inflation Remains at 1.6 Percent in August

In August, the annual inflation rate in Switzerland remained at 1.6%, according to the Federal Statistical Office (BFS). The core inflation rate, which excludes volatile goods such as food, energy and fuel, continued to decline. This is the lowest rate since December 2015, when it was 1.3%. The BFS also reported that the prices of services increased by 1.7%, while the prices of goods decreased by 0.2%. The cost of living in Switzerland remains relatively stable, with the inflation rate remaining below the 2% target set by the Swiss National Bank.nnnnnnnnnnnn
