An interruption to rail traffic on the Lausanne-Bern line was lifted again on Friday evening. According to the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), the reason was a power failure caused by a train at Fribourg station. Several connections were affected between 16:30 and 19:00, including the IC1 line between St. Gallen and Geneva Airport.
The line was interrupted between Fribourg and Düdingen as well as between Fribourg and Givisiez, as the SBB announced on its website. Warnings of delays and cancellations were issued. Replacement buses were organized.
