The last Swiss nationals have left the war-torn Gaza Strip. On Monday, a family of four left the country via the Rafah border crossing, as announced by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) on Tuesday.
The family was received and looked after on the Egyptian side by staff from the Swiss embassy in Cairo, the statement continued.
This means that all Swiss nationals of whom the FDFA was aware had left Gaza. A total of eight people with Swiss citizenship had already left the Gaza Strip on November 2 and 16.
