Local journalists win “Swiss Press Award”

Two journalists from the canton of Schwyz were honored with the "Swiss Press Award" on Friday. They won the prize for an article about arbitrariness in naturalization interviews in the local Küssnacht newspaper "Freier Schweizer".
The two journalists Matthias Niederberger and Fabian Duss also won in the local journalism category, as announced by the Fondation Reinhardt von Graffenried on Friday after the award ceremony in Bern.
The "Swiss Press Photographer of the Year" award went to Dominic Nahr. He won in the "Portrait" category with pictures of people at war in Ukraine and in the "International" category with a reportage on the earthquake in the Moroccan High Atlas in September 2023. Both series were published in the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung".
The winners of the various categories each receive 15,000 francs, while the journalist and photographer of the year each receive 25,000 francs.
