Losing a National Council Seat in the Canton of Basel-City

The Swiss People's Party (SP) lost one of its two seats in the National Council in the canton of Basel-Stadt according to the final results. The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), the Green Liberal Party (GLP) and the Green/Basta Alliance were able to retain their seats. This means that the SP has lost one of its two seats in the canton. The other parties were able to maintain their representation in the National Council. This result shows that the SP has lost some of its support in the canton, while the other parties have been able to maintain their positions. This could be an indication of a shift in the political landscape in Basel-Stadt.
