Loterie Romande distributes 243.7 million francs

The French-speaking Swiss lottery company Loterie Romande distributed CHF 243.7 million to charitable institutions in 2023. Almost 5,000 projects in the areas of health, heritage conservation, social affairs, sport, education, the environment, tourism, youth work and culture in French-speaking Switzerland were supported with CHF 220.8 million.
National sport (Swiss Olympic, the Swiss Football Association and the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation) will receive CHF 19.5 million, as Loterie Romande announced on Wednesday. The Swiss Horseracing Federation will receive CHF 3.4 million.
Loterie Romande's gross gaming revenue, i.e. stakes minus winnings paid out to players, amounted to CHF 420.7 million. This is slightly less than the previous year's figure of CHF 435.5 million.
