For security reasons, the Lufthansa Group has canceled further flights to the crisis region of the Middle East. Connections to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Tehran, Amman and Erbil have been suspended up to and including Tuesday, August 13.

This was announced by the Group in Frankfurt. This means that the destinations will not be served for another day. Until then, the Group's companies will also not use the airspace over Iraq and Iran.

This is due to the tensions between Israel and Iran, which give rise to fears of an open war in the region. Lufthansa is offering travelers with tickets up to and including 20 August free rebookings and cancellations. The flight suspension applies to all of the Group's airlines and to cargo and passenger aircraft alike. In addition to the core airline, the Lufthansa Group also includes Swiss, Austrian, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings.
