A male body was found on Saturday evening by three kayakers in Lake Constance between Hard in Austria and Lindau in Germany. According to the police, the identity, cause of death and time of death were still unclear on Sunday.
An autopsy was ordered. The body was recovered by the water police, the water rescue service and the fire department, the police added.
A dead man had already been found in Lake Constance on Saturday. In this case, a boater discovered the body floating on the surface of the water two kilometers off the mouth of the New Rhine in the morning. According to the police in Bregenz (A), the identity, time of death and cause of death were also unclear in this case.
It was unclear whether there was a connection with a search operation on Friday on the Rhine near Lustenau (A) on the Austrian-Swiss border. The Austrian water rescue team recovered the body and handed it over to the police in Lindau, who are now conducting further investigations.
