On Tuesday, a 74-year-old Swiss man will have to answer to the Lucerne Criminal Court for multiple counts of human trafficking and multiple sexual acts against eight underage boys. The public prosecutor's office is demanding a prison sentence of 12 years and ordinary custody.

The boys - seven of them brothers - were brought to the accused's home several times between 2015 and 2022 in return for payment, where he sexually exploited them, according to the prosecution's indictment.

The accused allegedly performed sexual acts on the children, forced them to perform such acts on him and also forced the brothers to perform the acts on each other. He filmed the victims several times and produced pornographic material.

The accused got to know the children's parents through an "intermediary" mentioned in the indictment. He then began to take in individual children - who did not speak German - for one to three weeks at a time. One boy was nine years old at the time of the first offense, another eleven.

Over the years, the accused is said to have paid tens of thousands of francs to the financially weak family from Slovakia. However, he denies having paid the money for the sexual acts. Rather, he wanted to support the family.

According to the indictment, all of the criminal acts of which he is accused were intentional. The accused knew the age of the children and knew that they lacked the capacity to consent. He manipulated the boys and put them under psychological pressure on several occasions.
