Man Plunges Down a Ditch in Flumserberg with a Dumper Truck and Dies

On Monday afternoon in Flumserberg SG, a dumper truck crashed down a steep slope, killing the 21-year-old driver. According to the St. Gallen Cantonal Police, the road construction worker was driving a loaded dumper truck in the Schilstal area shortly before 12 o'clock. For unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the road and rolled over the edge of the road, tumbling down the steep slope for about a hundred meters with the driver inside. The young man was severely injured and the air rescue team's doctor declared him dead shortly afterwards.
