Man suffers fatal injuries in fall

A 72-year-old man has suffered fatal injuries in a fall in the Lugano region. The man, who lived in the region, had not returned to Isone as expected late on Monday evening.
The Ticino cantonal police wrote on Thursday that this is why they were looking for him. A short time later, acquaintances found the man lifeless in the bed of the Verdeggio river, at the foot of a steep slope. According to previous investigations and forensic examinations, it is assumed that the man was the victim of a fall.
