The railroad line between Meiringen and Brienz in the Bernese Oberland, which was blocked by a fallen tree, was reopened early Friday evening. Rail traffic had previously been interrupted on the line from Lucerne to Interlaken Ost.

The PE and R70 lines were affected, as SBB announced on X on Friday afternoon. Delays and cancellations are to be expected. Travelers between Lucerne and Interlaken Ost BE were advised to travel via Bern.
