Missing woman found dead on the Lenk in the Bernese Oberland

A woman who has been missing for a week in Lenk in the Bernese Oberland has been found dead. The body was discovered on Saturday as part of a search operation in the Iffigbach stream and recovered from the water.
The woman was out for a walk with a companion on June 22, a week ago Saturday, when she fell into the Iffigbach for unknown reasons. The search for her was launched immediately.
The dead woman has not yet been formally identified, as the Bern cantonal police and the public prosecutor's office responsible announced on Saturday. However, there are concrete indications of her identity.
