Missing young man recovered dead from Schiffenensee lake

A 26-year-old man who had been reported missing since last Sunday was recovered dead from Lake Schiffenen in Granges-Paccot FR on Friday. The Fribourg cantonal police assume that he fell from a steep slope and died from his injuries.
The body was found by cantonal police divers after an intensive search of the lake. The Geneva cantonal police assisted with technical underwater equipment, as the Fribourg cantonal police announced on Sunday.
The investigation revealed that it was the missing person. In order to protect the family's privacy, the cantonal police have asked the media not to use the photo sent when the missing person was reported.
