The social partners in the Swiss butchery industry have agreed on wage increases. Overall, the gross wage bill is set to rise by 1.3 percent.
The Swiss Meat Trade Association and the Butchers' Staff Association of Switzerland announced in a joint communiqué on Thursday that 0.5 percent of this will be used to compensate for inflation. The rest of the money is to be used for individual wage increases.
According to the information provided, there will be no pay rise for apprentices, for people who have only been working for a particular company since the current year and for employees whose employment contract has been terminated.
