In the past two weeks, Switzerland has seen an increase in anti-Semitic incidents. The Swiss Israelite Community Association (SIG) registered 26 cases, while the Intercommunal Coordination Office against Antisemitism and Defamation (CICAD) in the West of Switzerland recorded 88 incidents, 66 of which were online. The Jewish community in Switzerland has been increasingly targeted due to the escalation in the Middle East, with an average of two incidents reported per day since October 7th. This is a significant increase compared to the 57 cases reported in the whole of 2022. CICAD's incidents mainly involve online anti-Semitic comments and expressions. The SIG does not include these in their figures.
