The Street Parade on Saturday was largely peaceful. However, 29 people of different nationalities were arrested for various offenses.

As in previous years, there were an increasing number of reports of fights and arguments in the evening and at night, as the Zurich city police reported on Saturday. This year, too, the majority of reports were of theft. Among other things, over 30 cell phones were seized from a 34-year-old Romanian.

Shortly before 8.30 p.m., an argument broke out on Genferstrasse between a 38-year-old Swiss man, two teenagers and a young adult. In the course of the argument, one of the youths was injured with a stabbing weapon. The Zurich cantonal police and the public prosecutor's office began an investigation.

Shortly after midnight, a 21-year-old man was attacked by several people on Utoquai and injured in the head. The Schutz & Rettung Zurich ambulance service took him to hospital.

Drugs and sexual offenses

Narcotics investigators seized 150 portions of ecstasy, 45 portions of MDMA, 4 grams of amphetamine and around 250 grams of cocaine in connection with the Street Parade, it was reported. Investigations have also been launched into a sexual offense.

The water police had carried out several dives because swimmers had been reported missing. All reports of missing persons had been revoked.

In addition, twelve people were reported for noise, illegal alcohol sales, customs offenses and isolated violations of the Hospitality Industry Act. And 18 people were admitted to the Zurich sobering-up and care center. Drones also led to police operations this year.
