Motorcyclists rescue motorists from reservoir in Guttannen BE

A car driver drove his vehicle into the Räterichsbodensee in Guttannen BE early on Friday evening. Motorcyclists rescued the accident victim from the sinking vehicle, as reported by the Bern cantonal police on Saturday.
The casualty was flown to hospital, according to reports. The car was recovered from the reservoir in the course of the evening with the help of a tire crane.
It is not yet clear why the driver collided with a boulder at 6.30 p.m. and left the road as a result, according to reports. The Grimsel Pass road was closed while the injured driver received medical treatment and the car was recovered.
