Mountaineer falls to his death on Monte Leone on the border with Valais

A German mountaineer has fallen to his death on the Italian side of Monte Leone. According to the Ansa news agency on Monday, the victim was between 50 and 60 years old. His friend, who had climbed from the Valais side of the 3553-metre peak on the Swiss-Italian border, raised the alarm.
