National Council Elections: Final Results Announced

After the count of all 26 cantons, the Swiss People's Party (SVP) won nine seats, the Social Democratic Party (SP) two, and the Centre one. The Green Liberals lost six seats, and the Greens five. At 10:40 pm, the preliminary results of the Swiss National Council elections are as follows: The Swiss People's Party (SVP) is in the lead with 27.1% of the vote, followed by the Social Democratic Party (SP) with 18.8%, the Green Party (GPS) with 13.2%, the Liberal Party (FDP) with 11.5%, the Christian Democratic Party (CVP) with 9.7%, and the Conservative Democratic Party (BDP) with 6.2%. ©Keystone/SDA
