Neuchâtel allows shooting of a wolf

The canton of Neuchâtel has authorized the shooting of a single wolf. The animal had attacked and killed a calf in La Chaux-du-Milieu at the beginning of September.
Another attack on five sheep took place in La Montagne-de-Travers: "The expertise carried out recently confirmed that it was a wolf," the canton announced.
The last kill occurred at the beginning of September in La Chaux-du-Milieu. There, an eight-month-old calf weighing around 250 kilograms was killed by a wolf in a pasture in the village of Les Jolys.
