No Surprise with the Lists of Connections in the Canton of Bern

In the canton of Bern, four list connections have been established by the parties and political groups for the National Council elections in October. This year, the right-wing parties of the SVP and the FDP are joining forces, whereas four years ago they went their separate ways. The left-wing parties, including the SP Men, SP Women, Juso, Greens, Young Greens and Young Alternative, are also forming a list connection. In the political centre, 20 lists are joining forces, including the Middle, Young Middle, Best Agers of the Middle, Executive List of the Middle, Economic List of the Middle, GLP, Young GLP, GLP KMU, GLP Francophone and Francophile, GLP International, GLP Energy, GLP Queer and Allies, GLP Creative, GLP Animal and Nature, EVP, EVP KMU, EVP Future, EVP Experience and Pirates. The EDU is also forming a list connection with the Mass Criticists, including the Swiss Democrats, Mass-Voll, Aufrecht, the Bourgeois City and Country List around SVP Councillor Madeleine Amstutz, as well as the Los Normalos and Philipp Jutzi lists. By forming list connections, the parties increase their chances of gaining an additional seat in proportional elections. The canton of Bern has a claim to 24 seats in the National Council.nnnnnnnnnn
