No to highway expansion due to unholy alliance, according to “Blick”

According to the news portal blick.ch, the "no" to the highway expansion is due to an "unholy alliance". Nobody knows what will happen next.
"Left-wing circles voted no because they want to protect the climate. Because they don't want to cover land with concrete. And on the right, SVP members voted against the bill: because farmers don't want to sacrifice land. Because voters of the People's Party are convinced that the highways can also be relieved if immigration is restricted. (...) Only with a united middle-class camp will a Yes vote be possible at all in the future. The SVP stood in its own way. It fought for a Yes vote on behalf of its voters from the business community. But SVP members voted no because the idea that almost any problem can be solved by limiting immigration now dominates. In this vote, the SVP did not get rid of the ghosts it had summoned."
