Pedestrian dies after collision with streetcar in Geneva

A pedestrian has died in Geneva following a collision with a streetcar. The man died in hospital following the accident on Sunday evening as a result of his serious injuries.
The victim, a man born in 1967, fell between the streetcar and the sidewalk at a stop in the Plainpalais district. He was dragged several meters by the streetcar, which had just set off, according to the cantonal police on Tuesday.
The public prosecutor's office has launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
