Pension fund investments with positive result

Pension fund investments closed the year in positive territory at CHF 54 billion. This is according to the pension fund statistics from the Federal Statistical Office. In the previous year, the loss amounted to 105 billion francs.
According to a statement from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) on Monday, the "positive investment performance on the financial markets" led to a positive net investment result for pension funds.
The total value of the assets of all 1320 pension funds in Switzerland amounted to a good CHF 1,129 billion at the end of 2023. In 2023, around 2.1 million women and 2.7 million men across the country had paid a total of CHF 23.3 billion in occupational pension contributions. To this amount must be added the employer's share of CHF 32.6 billion.
