In recent years, politicians of various colors have published books. Ahead of the Swiss federal elections on October 22, the news agency Keystone-SDA compiled a list of books. Islam Alijaj (ZH) published "We Must Talk. A Biographical Manifesto" (Limmat Verlag, 2023). Anna Rosenwasser (ZH) published "Rosa Buch. Queere Texte von Herzen" (Orell Füssli, 2023). Roger Nordmann (VD) published "Urgence énergie et climat" (Favre, 2023) and Pierre-Yves Maillard (VD) published "Un vélo pour Noël" (Aire, 2022) and "Sécurité et défense de la Suisse" (Favre, 2020). Basil Oberholzer (SG) of the Green Party published "Die globale Armut bekämpfen" (Basil Oberholzer, 2021) and Bastien Girod (ZH) published "Green Change" (Zytglogge Verlag, 2010). Valentine Python (VD) published "Une climatologue au Parlement" (Aire, 2021) and Antonio Hodgers (GE) published "Manifeste pour une écologie de l'espoir" (Georg Editeur, 2023).
