Prices for Single-Family Houses Decreased Slightly in July

The Swiss Real Estate Offer Index has revealed that the prices for single-family homes have decreased by 0.5% in July, compared to the previous month. This marks the first time in over three years that the annual growth rate has dropped into the negative. On the other hand, prices for apartments have increased by 0.4%, and the average price per square metre is higher than for single-family homes. Renters have also been affected, with rents increasing by 0.7% in July. This is an increase of 3.8% over the past 12 months. The highest increases were seen in the Tessin region (3.2%), Central Switzerland (1.7%) and Eastern Switzerland (1.2%). The lowest increases were seen in the Greater Zurich area (0.4%), North-West Switzerland (0.3%) and the Geneva region (0.2%).nnnn
