Rail traffic on the Lausanne-Berne line was interrupted near Fribourg on Friday evening. According to the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), the reason was a power failure. Several connections were affected, including the IC1 line, which runs between St. Gallen and Geneva Airport.
The line between Fribourg and Düdingen as well as between Fribourg and Givisiez is interrupted, SBB announced on its website on Friday. Delays and cancellations are to be expected. Replacement buses are being organized.
The restriction should last until at least 8 p.m., SBB added.
