Robbery at jewelry store in luxury hotel in Montreux VD

Jewelry was stolen during a robbery at the jewelry store in the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace hotel on Lake Geneva in Montreux VD on Thursday. The two thieves managed to escape and no one was injured.
The attack took place at around 5.40 p.m. on the reception level of the luxury hotel, the Vaudois police confirmed to the Keystone-SDA news agency. The "Blick" online portal first reported on the incident. The police promised more information on Friday. The incident will first be investigated.
