Selenskyj wants to meet members of the Federal Council and parliamentarians

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi wants to meet not only members of the Federal Council in Bern, but also members of parliament and party leaders. During his official visit, he wants to talk about sanctions against Russia and possibilities for using frozen Russian assets.

Selenskyj wrote this on X (formerly Twitter) after his arrival on Monday. According to the message, he also wants to address the return of Ukrainian children "stolen by Russia". Humanitarian demining, where Switzerland is involved, financial aid and reconstruction are also topics, according to Selenskyj.

In addition to President Viola Amherd and other members of the Federal Council, Selenskyj also wants to meet the Presidencies of the National Council and the Council of States, as he announced. He also wants to talk to the leaders of the parties and parliamentary groups.

He wanted to express his gratitude to Switzerland for its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He believes that Swiss support for the peace formula brings the vision of a just peace in his country a good deal closer.

Selensky also commented on his planned appearance at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos GR. Among other things, he wants to hold bilateral meetings with representatives of the EU and NATO. The aim is to promote Ukraine's integration into the Euro-Atlantic area.
