Senior dies while swimming in Lake Zurich

A man died while swimming in Lake Zurich on Tuesday afternoon. The 84-year-old went for a swim in the lake near Altendorf SZ and could not be found afterwards.
A search was initiated immediately, the Schwyz cantonal police announced on Wednesday. The lake rescue service was quickly able to locate the missing man at a depth of just over three meters. Police divers then recovered the man.
The emergency services attempted to resuscitate the pensioner. However, the man died at the scene, according to the press release.
